Getting Last Pix for Photo Book

The last couple of cruise days flew by so quickly. We stopped in Juneau for a dayVictoria, B.C. — it’s a city with a good bit of Alaskan charm. Took some photos there that will tell the story in my cruise memory book. Then on to Victoria, British Columbia for a delightful day in this beautiful city with a distinct British flavor. Then back to Seattle. Then home.

Follow along as I discuss how to sort photos in preparation for creating a trip memory book. continue reading

Today we get ready to photograph the Hubbard Glacier. It takes several hours for the cruise ship to arrive in Disenchantment Bay, sailing through Yukatat Bay from the Gulf of Alaska. Plan a first-day-of-school memory book for the class.

Be  all-inclusive in the photos you take at school and you can be the class hero.

Besides snapping photos of your child, the teacher, the classroom and the playground,  take digital photos of all the kids in your child’s class — together as a group, in small groups or clusters and individually. Get a couple of shots of every child to ensure each child will be in the book. Then make up a photo memory book that can be distributed by e-mail (using the free online flipping-book version) to the teacher and all parents in your child’s class. Parents who can’t be there for the first day of school will be extremely appreciative. continue reading
